ImAdjSoftCCD - Auto Sunrise / set

The Sun calculator is based on Paul Schlyter's original SUNRISET program, written specifically for use by ImAdjSoft and is installed into the ImAdjSoft installation folder.

Local - This is the calculated Local sunset and sunrise shown as scheduler Start and Stop times. Local Sunrise and Sunset is calculated for the Sun's upper limb being 35-arcminutes below the horizon for both morning and evening.

Adjusted - These are Local sunrise and sunset values after adjustment by Extend Hours (below).

Use - When this checkbox is checked, the adjusted time is always applied to the scheduler, whenever the Calcuate button is clicked.

Daily - When this checkbox is checked, the sunrise and sunset for the following day are calculated whenever the scheduler completes a schedule, i.e. daily.

Calculate- Press this button to calculate sunrise and sunset manually. All of the following values are needed for this to work.

Lat - The site Latitude.

Long - The site Longitude.

GMT Offset - The Greenwich Meantime hour offset for your site.

Extend Hours - The number of hours to extend bewteen sunset and sunrise. For example -1.5 will add 45 minutes to the sunset time and subtract 45 minutes from sunrise. In practice, the local sunrise and sunset times may not be adequate for your chosen nighttime exposure times. 45 minutes is a good rule of thumb for scheduling later start and earlier stop times to be within acceptable limits for nighttime exposures.
